Eastpoint Centre Regeneration Project

 

Due to open in April 2011, this key development of a well used community facility will not only visually transform the major gateway into Southampton and Thornhill, but will also increase the opportunities for training, education, employment and community uses.
Eastpoint having outgrown its current facilities has embarked on a major redevelopment project – in partnership with Thornhill Plus You, Itchen College and Southampton City Council – to continue supporting the raising aspirations of Thornhill, and ensure that their works continue into the future.

Community Facilities
With a new building comes the opportunity to continue to provide and develop good quality dedicated community facilities, and to support the mission of the Eastpoint Centre to support the communities of Thornhill and the East of Southampton. The new building will include:
• 9 Flexible Community Rooms.
• Community bar area.
• Community Development Manager.
• Offices to support Plus You Ltd. the successor of Thornhill Plus You NDC.

Conference Facilities
Providing a state of the art purpose built conference and training facility will provide the means for Eastpoint to secure its long term future. The new centre will include flexible meeting rooms, café and restaurant facilities, and the opportunity to hold large receptions.
